| James J. T. Taylor was born and raised
in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born on August 26. |
As a child J.T. showed
interest in graphics, art, and design. He attended Ohio State University
and the University of Cincinnati. He possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and
Economics. While attending college he joined one the fraternities
and it was at that time, while performing in a step show, he discovered
not only did he have to do a “step routine,” he also had
to sing.
Instantly, music also became a vital part of J.T’s
life. With encouragement he became a member of the choirs at Ohio
State, as well as, the University of Cincinnati, singing tenor under
the direction of Julius James and Donald Lawrence.
This new found love for music led him to join a band called “Love
Maximum,” under the direction of Gerald Austin, lead singer
of the R & B group, “
The Manhattans.” He also performed with some legends, namely:
The Temptations, The Dramatics, The Stylistics, Alexander O’Neal
and Cherrelle, Lenny Williams, |

Lakeside and Midnight Star. He has been the musical director for local
groups, “Chain Reaction,” Mystique, and Pure Seduction.”
For the past few years J.T. has been traveling to Los Angeles performing
with the Jazz and R & B group, “The Breeze.” |
He is also a vocal director/vocal arranger and
is co-producer with Dillard High School Music Director, Israel Charles,
on a new CD by artist, Rachel Brown, on which he wrote original material,
as well. In his spare time, J.T. enjoys reading books, playing the keyboards
and writing original songs.
So, if you should need some original songs or arrangements
for background vocals, J.T. is definitely the man to see!
