In a word “Funky” is how to describe Eric Davis “Guitar is my musical voice”

That’s how Eric Davis feels about playing the guitar. Eric has been in the music business for over 25 years and is very passionate about R & B Jazz and various styles of music. Music became a part of his life through a friendship with Charles Killingsworth who at the time was learning how to play the bass guitar and encouraged Eric to play guitar. His uncle Walter Gavin who played blues guitar was a major influence in his life.

With that being said Eric knew music would always be a part of his life and he would never stop playing. He has worked with many bands in the South Florida area. To name a few, Bristol Cream/Klassique, Dee Dee Wilde, Monique Inc, Total Control, Al Broomfield, Derrick MC, Party Crew, Fish and Grits, South Side Soul, Misty KI, 8 Track, Maximum Drive and the late but great E.J. & Company.

Eric has performed and opened for such major music acts like Cameo, Thelma Houston, Taste of Honey and American Idol winner, Fantasia. He also performed over seas during the 1980 USO Tour and has performed for various Sororities and Fraternities. Eric has aspirations of becoming a music producer as wells as a solo artist and is currently writing songs for various artists combining the past with the present. Eric feels he can and will create a new style of music to write about.
