Saxophonist, Didier Labossiere, was born in1973, In Chicago Illinois. Didier is the son of Hatian immigrants, his music is rooted in his Hatian heritage, the jazz sounds of Chicago and the rhythms of Miami.

A resident of Miami since 1980, Didier began his education in music Under the direction of Ralph D’Ovidio and Ed Maina at North Miami Senior High. Continuously perfecting his craft, he went on to study with Renowned jazz musicians such as: Gary Keller of the University of Miami, Ed Maina of Florida International University and Richi Perri of Miami Dade Community College. Other “Cool Cats” during this period of Education include: Neal Bosanti, Mike Rossi and Randy Emerick.

An aficionado of diverse sounds and styles, Didier has played with bands that range in style from bebop, urban and tribal funk to Rhythms & Blues (R&B). Didier says, “I draw not only from the instrumentalists, but from a fusion of sound. Cats I’ve played with are as untraditional as they are traditional.”

Amongst such diverse bands Didier has played with professionally are: John Chapman Jazz Ensemble, The Baboons (Urban Tribal Funk), Jazz Five (Quintet), Koleksyon Kazak (Haitian Roots “Rara”), and The Rain Forest Band (Brazilian Jazz & Pop).
